Slowing down my apartment search for the time being. Mostly just relaxing my move-out date — which will most-likely be January 1. (Yeah, convincing the guys to drive the truck down and move my stuff that day is going to be loads of fun…)
This will give me more time to look, and won’t put as much of a financial squeeze on me. Not to mention the whole needing to find someone to sublet as well.
One day… I’ll have these floors….
I think my new apartment not only needs this, but requires this….
the place I was really excited for, shown here, isn’t that great of a deal for the cost.
But things are sort of looking up for another place I’d been thinking about for a bit now… Fingers crossed everything works out. If so, I will be signing a new lease this weekend.
If all else fails? I was just offered a place for the kitties and I to stay in Florida. Yep.

The short answer…. I took a job in the far north suburbs. I’m looking to move closer to a better metra station so I can have more options and just a better commute.

I’m apartment searching.
If all goes well, I will have signed a lease and will be in my new home in December.
We’re looking this afternoon, and I’m pretty excited. Especially after seeing photos of the building, talking with the leasing agent, and seeing a floor plan that’s pretty close to the one I’ll be seeing today.
The kittens are holding down the fort (no really, to them my bed is a fort)… hopefully I’ll come back with good news for them.
